Overall very good

Last year I attended and was excited about the 25th anniversary. Unfortunately, it wasn’t anything extra to commemorate it. The show started very strong this year with the opening acts, such as the carnival screen, couple in white with the pole, and the audience participation towards the middle, all great. The location and overall performances were a little better last year. The two primary drawbacks beyond the show were the ticket ordering process and the new location. The online ordering from Ticketmaster was a nightmare, and the approx. $25 EXTRA in fees felt like a ripoff; consequently, attendance seemed low on the Friday night I attended. It was much better last year when you could go through Krogers, please return back to that venue and reduce some of the fees. Although I recommend it for the overall diversity of acts featuring people of color and the cultural experience, I will most likely take a break for next year, especially if the ordering process and high fees are the same. That is sad because I really appreciate the cultural aspects of having a “soul” circus. Make the show spectacular and clean up the ordering, of which we as people of color can do.
